Founded in 1949, Grand Canyon University Online  has been a private Christian university. Class Format/Schedules:
Online courses start with a tutorial to become familiar with the online structure. Student accounts have access to course syllabus, staff information, discussion boards and a digital drop box to submit assignments. Students are advised to invest a minimum of 10-15 hours per class. Interaction is asynchronous, available 24/7, and classes are offered one at a time. The online faculty is full-time. GCU offers 4-credit courses that allow students to complete degree programs in less time.
