Herzing University Online is an accredited university that offers Master’s, Bachelor’s, and Associate Degrees in 45 program areas. Herzing has been in career education since 1965 and has resident campus locations in eight U.S. states as well as online.

Military Friendly:
The Henry G. Herzing Scholarship for Severely Injured Servicemembers is given to 12 servicemembers who have become severely injured as a result of military service. Spouses and dependents are also eligible to apply. Each scholarship is $1,000 and is named after the University’s founder, Henry Herzing, who served in the U.S. Navy as a Sr. Missile Test Officer at White Sands. Mr. Herzing is currently Chancellor of Herzing University. To be eligible, applicants must be enrolled in a program at Herzing University Online and maintain full-time student status (approximately two classes at a time for each 8-week term).This scholarship is non-renewable, however recipients are encouraged to re-apply each year.

Class Format/Schedules:
Classes are capped at 25 students, and the average class size is 18 students. Courses rarely require students to be online at a specific time, homework must be submitted by the due date. Students should plan on log in online a minimum of 4 different days per week to stay current with course announcements and discussions. School work includes completing reading assignments, participating in course discussions, completing homework assignments, and taking tests. Each instructor has posted office hours for phone discussions, however students may email the instructor at any time. In addition, students may request an after-hours appointment with the instructor to discuss issues by phone or online chat.
Students usually interact with each other using email or the discussion boards. Most courses have one or two required group projects, however most homework assignments are completed individually.
Online tests are taken at the student’s computer. There is a library section in the online classroom with online library resources. Herzing subscribes to several online databases so students can search and access articles and reference books at no charge.
Herzing offers a program called EdFlex, allowing students to take classes at one of its resident campuses while completing other classes online.
