Class Format/Schedules:
All of Walden’s courses are offered strictly online. All courses are structured similarly, with coursework available 24/7. The flow of online dialogue is preserved so students can follow and contribute to classmates’ conversation as it unfolds and return to it as a reference. Online classrooms feature a syllabus that includes learning objectives, an assignment schedule, and information on grading criteria. Tests are delivered online and are typically scored when you finish. Papers and projects are submitted through a drop box. In addition to completed assignments, students are evaluated on classroom participation as well. Some online degree programs also feature face-to-face academic residencies. A Student Readiness Orientation helps get new students ready for their first online course.
